Pelan Pelan is a trade name of Leeuwenlander, a sole proprietorship based in Groningen, the Netherlands. CoC number: 83748237. VAT number: NL002833065B05. Data controller: Tuur (tuur@pelanpelan.ink).

2. What data do we collect?

Via the subscription (Stripe)

• Naam
• E-mailadres
• Postadres (voor verzending)
• Betalingsgegevens (verwerkt en opgeslagen door Stripe — wij zien geen volledige kaartgegevens)

Via the contact form

• Naam
• E-mailadres
• Eventueel postadres
• De inhoud van je bericht

Via Umami (self-hosted analytics)

This website uses Umami for anonymous visitor statistics. Umami is a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics solution (on own server infrastructure within the EU) that places no cookies, stores no IP addresses and shares no data with third parties. The data recorded (such as pages visited, country at a high level and device type) cannot be traced to individuals. No cookie banner is therefore required.

What we do NOT collect

• No cookies (except strictly necessary ones via Stripe)
• No tracking pixels
• No analytics or behavioural data
• No IP addresses stored

3. How do we use your data?

• Name + postal address: solely for addressing and sending the monthly letter
• Email address: for subscription confirmation, payment confirmation (via Stripe) and any contact about your subscription
• Payment details: processing the monthly subscription payment via Stripe

We do not send newsletters, marketing emails or third-party offers.

4. How long do we retain your data?

• For as long as your subscription is active
• After cancellation: data is deleted from our records within 30 days
• Exception: legally required retention for accounting purposes (7 years) — transaction data only, no address data

5. Do we share your data?

We do not share your data with third parties, except:

• Stripe Inc. — voor betalingsverwerking en het beheren van de klantportal (abonnement beheren, facturen). Stripe heeft een eigen privacy policy: stripe.com/nl/privacy
• PostNL — solely the postal address on the envelope, for delivery. PostNL does not process this digitally.

We never sell your data to third parties.

6. Security

• Website secured with HTTPS/SSL (Let's Encrypt)
• Contact form sends directly to email — no separate database
• Payments via Stripe (PCI DSS-certified)
• Audio files (spoken poems) are hosted on a private URL on our own VPS — not publicly findable

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights:

• Access: you can request what data we hold about you
• Rectification: you can have incorrect data corrected
• Erasure: you can request deletion of your data
• Objection: you can object to processing
• Portability: you can request your data in a readable format

8. Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. International subscribers

For subscribers outside the European Union the same principles apply: your data is used solely to send the letter and is not shared with third parties.

10. Changes

We may update this privacy policy. For material changes we will notify subscribers by email. The most recent version is always available at pelanpelan.ink/privacybeleid.html.
